However, in some cases complications may arise such as intrauterine fetal growth restriction (IUGR), preterm birth, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes, genetic syndromes and fetal anatomical abnormalities. Also, complications in previous pregnancies such as fetal abnormalities or an inherited condition could be a major cause of concern for any future pregnancy.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Tsoumpou is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist. She trained in one of the world\u2019s most prestigious centres, the <strong>Harris Birthright Centre of Fetal Medicine at King\u2019s College Hospital, London<\/strong>, under the supervision of <strong>Professor Kypros Nikolaides<\/strong>. The doctor has been awarded the <strong>Diploma in Fetal Medicine<\/strong> that constitutes the greatest distinction in the field. She has the knowledge to thoroughly assess the fetal well-being and fetal anatomy, diagnose abnomalities and objectively consult pregnant women. In addition, she <strong>collaborates tightly<\/strong> with leading scientists of other specialties (geneticists, fetal and paediatric cardiologists and paediatric surgeons) in Greece and abroad, for the valid description and management of a fetal condition both before and after birth.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Tsoumpou is willing to consult you in case of <strong>requesting a second opinion<\/strong> regarding a fetal condition or if you simply want t\u03bf confirm what you already know.
